Paddock Wood Community Centre offers a range of high-specification spaces designed for maximum flexibility. Whether you are planning a corporate meeting, an exercise class, or a family party, our facilities are equipped to meet your needs.
The Main Hall and Divisible Spaces
The crown jewel of our Community Centre is the 243-square-metre main hall. This modern, bright space is designed to be highly adaptable. It features a high-quality dividing system that allows the hall to be split into three smaller units: the Sovereign Hall, Bramling Hall, and Endeavour Hall.
The entire hall can accommodate up to 299 people for large-scale events such as community theatre, weddings, or town meetings. Every section of the hall offers large windows overlooking the Memorial Field, providing a sense of space and connection to the outdoors. We allow non-contact, low-impact sports in the hall, and for children’s parties, we permit the use of bouncy castles, provided they are sourced from reputable companies with appropriate insurance.
The Elizabeth Thomas Meeting Room
For professional or smaller group settings, we offer a dedicated meeting room. This 14.5-square-metre space is perfect for business presentations, local committee meetings, training workshops or therapeutic sessions. The room is equipped with modern technology, including a 55-inch TV and whiteboard, and provides a quiet, professional environment for up to 10 people.
Scalliwags Pre-School
The Centre houses a state-of-the-art nursery facility, currently operated by Scalliwags Pre-School. This wing was designed specifically for early years education, featuring two classrooms and a secure, private external playground. The design ensures that the nursery remains safe and self-contained, with safeguarding measures built into the architecture.

Accessibility and Practical Features
We've tried to think of everything to make your event run without a hitch, with inclusivity being a core requirement during the design stage. The Centre provides wheelchair access throughout, with a seamless, single-level floor plan from the car park to the furthest corner of the building. Our large car park offers 64 spaces (with EV chargers), including four dedicated disabled bays and a bay for coaches, ensuring that large groups can visit with ease. Alongside our flexible halls, sometimes you can have access to a fully equipped kitchen - perfect if you're bringing in caterers or just want to sort out some teas and coffees, free Wi-Fi, and brilliant outdoor tennis courts, so you've got a venue that ticks all the boxes.
