Accessibility and facilities: a quick guide to PWCC

Paddock Wood Community Centre - Accessibility

If you have not visited Paddock Wood Community Centre yet, you might be wondering what the building is actually like inside and how easy it is to get around.

From the moment you pull into the car park, everything is on one level – there are marked parking spaces including disabled bays, and step‑free access straight into the building. Once you are inside, all the halls, meeting room, coffee shop and toilets are on the same floor, which makes life much easier if you use a wheelchair, buggy or a walking aid.

The spaces all have adjustable light settings so they can be dimmed down for those with visual sensitivities. We have a wheelchair that you’re welcome to borrow whilst you’re at the Centre and we have an inflatable lifting cushion for those who would like to enjoy floor based exercise.

We have tried to keep the booking process straightforward and friendly, so if you are unsure which space you need or what equipment is available, just get in touch with the office and we can talk it through with you.
