It is hard to believe that it is already a year since Paddock Wood Community Centre properly came to life for residents.

The Centre was designed to be accessible and flexible, with a large hall that can be divided into three smaller spaces, a meeting room, nursery, café area and tennis courts just outside. Everything is on one level with level access from the car park, making it easier for wheelchair users, buggies and anyone with mobility issues to get around.

Over the last year we have welcomed everything from yoga classes and coffee mornings to birthday parties, support groups and town events. The community Coffee Shop has become a regular stop for many residents, and our fundraising activities have already helped support local charities and initiatives.

Looking ahead, we want to keep listening to what local people need – whether that is new types of classes, more social groups or bigger town‑wide events.
